Porsche Macan, a sharper sporty SUV

Despite the arrival next year of a 100% electric version, the thermal engine Macan is not ready to bow out.

More than two years after its last evolution, the Macan offers itself a new makeover.

Aesthetic alterations are limited but are sufficient to modernize the silhouette.

The grille is completely redesigned, the structure of the shield adopting elements in relief.

The GTS version is distinguished by an imposing black plastic block.

The treatment of the stern is more elegant with a new interpretation of the light strip.

It still extends over the entire width of the vehicle, but it now incorporates a red light ring over the entire surface.

The Macan GTS adds an imposing diffuser and two particularly visible twin exhaust nozzles. The GTS can also be recognized by its 10 mm lower frame, which complements the standard air suspension and firmer settings. The flagship of the new, completely revamped Macan range, the GTS model receives a 2.9-liter turbo V6 providing 440 horsepower, which is still 60 horsepower more than on the previous version. Its performance is improving: 100 km / h is reached in 4.3 seconds with the Sport Chrono pack. Underneath is the Macan S, featuring a deflated 380-horsepower version of the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6. This is 26 hp more than before. Finally, the Macan is powered by a new evolution of the 2-liter four-cylinder. It provides the power of 265 hp, instead of 245 hp previously.The 0 to 100 km / h is swallowed in 6.2 seconds. Consumption is approved at 10.1 l / 100 km, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 228 g / km. All three models come with a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK automatic transmission. PASM is standard on the S and GTS, optional on the entry-level model.

The makeover is accompanied by the conversion of the passenger compartment to the brand's latest standards in terms of ergonomics, connectivity and online services.

The buttons are thus replaced by tactile surfaces.

The functions of the infotainment system can be controlled by voice.

The analog clock on the dashboard is now supplied as standard.

Finally, the multifunction steering wheel is inspired by that of the 911. The first deliveries of this revised and corrected Macan will begin next October, from 64,633 euros (Macan).

The Macan S will be offered from 73,597 euros, the Macan GTS at 90,350 euros.
