Anna Greimel, IT consultant from Dorfen, presented the new portal, which the Förderkreis developed together with the city. The aim and purpose of the “dorfen.shop” is to “bring one or the other of the members into the digital world,” said Tremmel. The customer sees the offers on the platform: “So it's a mixture, I'm seen and I can sell,” Tremmel promoted for the portal.
It is clear that they do not want to become “Amazon 2.0” here in Dorfen, said Greimel, daughter-in-law of the commercial clerk and CSU city councilor Martin Greimel. It is not about uploading as many products as possible, but just putting a selection of products in the shop window, or a video, for example. Associations and service providers would also have the opportunity to present themselves here.
"Young people in particular are digital today," said Tremmel. "We need the platform for the future." It is clear that the Dorfener retail trade "cannot keep up with the cheap shops", Tremmel knows. "A Dorfener dealer cannot afford to offer inferior quality either," explained the head of the electronics retailer Heuschneider. Another advantage of the Dorfener retail trade: The good service and advice on site.

With him, Förderkreis boss Tremmel wants to tackle succession arrangements and vacancy management.
"There are companies and businesses that want to go to Dorfen," said Tremmel.
Empty shops are a "no-go".
After all, retail is the soul of the city center.
Even if the tax breaks are not as dramatic as feared, "the forecasts are not really rosy," said Mayor Heinz Grundner. City, trade and craft are faced with a multitude of challenges because of Corona, said the town hall chief, who praised the excellent cooperation with the support group. The city will receive 380,000 euros from the state government for inner-city measures. "We have to act together, just to show: 'We survived Corona'."
Treasurer Josef Gantner calculated that the financial position of the development association was almost never good. This is due to the fact that there were significantly fewer expenses in the Corona year. Dorfen vouchers were booming, with 5596 vouchers sold in 2020 alone - over 2000 more than in the previous year. "Sensational," commented Tremmel. The Dorfener business vouchers (DoGG's), the promotional group's discount branding system, are still popular and remain "long-running hits". “Life finds the inner city”, says the retailer's advertising slogan.
The support group currently has 154 members, explained Tremmel, who was unanimously confirmed as chairman in the new elections - as did all the others who stood for election.
Dieter Sauer and Sabine Lenffer promised to remain loyal to the sponsorship group, but did not want to run again.
Philipp Ponkowsky took over Sauer's post as third deputy, Helga Schuller succeeds Secretary Lenffer.
