About 20 rescuers followed them to a rescue operation that lasted throughout the night, and required, among other things, surfing in a rope system on three high waterfalls.

At the end of the rescue, the volunteers and boys continued to Mitzpe Shalem.

The rescue unit warns hikers in the Judean Desert area of the heavy heat loads, and recommends water, hiking boots, hats, and flashlights.

The travelers were also called upon to update their relatives on the planned departure times from the routes.
