Dachau - When Fritz Feller saw his Elisabeth at the New Year's Eve ball in 1958/1959 in the ASV hall in Dachau for the first time, the young man had been hit.

But shortly after getting to know each other for the first time, the then 22-year-old was already drafted.

The Bundeswehr called and Fritz was barracked for three months at a time for basic training.

But then he was allowed to see his Elisabeth again, and in the summer of 1959 the two met at a soccer game at SSV Dachau-Ost and fell in love.

In November, however, Fritz had to leave again, this time on maneuvers, was torn from the boat during an exercise and caught cold so badly that it was at times very critical for him in the hospital.

But he jumped at death by the shovel and made his Elisabeth a marriage proposal.

On July 14, 1961, the young couple finally got married in the Gnadenkirche in Dachau.

Daughter Evelyne was born in 1964, followed by son Robert in 1966.

Evelyne gave her parents the granddaughters Sandra and Anita.

The family happiness of the Fellers also includes the dog Balu and the bitch Emma of granddaughter Sandra, who all live together in their parents' apartment building.

Fritz and Elisabeth Feller (both 84) are infinitely grateful and happy about their great family.

On the 60th wedding anniversary - and thus on the Diamond Wedding Anniversary - Lord Mayor Florian Hartmann also congratulated, which the Fellers were particularly pleased with.

"The mayor now has a new fan, my wife," says Fritz Feller with a wink and gently caresses Elisabeth's hand.

The two are still happily married after 60 years of marriage.

Their secret for their long marital happiness: "Tolerance and talk openly and honestly with one another", both tell in unison.

The anniversary is to be celebrated with a family party in the summer.
