Boca returns to the country this afternoon after the scandal in Belo Horizonte

The ambassador to Brazil, Daniel Scioli, confirmed this Wednesday that Boca will return to Argentina this afternoon after the fight that broke out in the dressing rooms of the Mineirao stadium in Belo Horizonte due to the controversial elimination of the Copa Libertadores.

"The delegation is close to moving to the hotel, from where they will begin their return to Buenos Aires in the afternoon," he said. 

Scioli also maintained that the Consulate in Belo Horizonte guaranteed the integrity of the health bubble due to coronavirus at all times.

Three members of the delegation have just finished their testimonies in the Belo Horizonte police station.

They are accompanied by the consul Santiago Muñoz and with the legal representation of Nicolas Alasia and Petula Moreira.

Boca Juniors had missed their flight back to Buenos Aires after the scandal. 

The fight took place after Mineiro eliminated Boca Juniors on penalties 3-1, with the controversial decision of the referee to annul a goal for Miguel Ángel Russo's team.
