Deputy Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Russian Federation Council, Vladimir Jabarov, confirmed that the agreement between the United States and Germany on the "Northern Stream 2" gas pipeline will not affect his country's position on gas supplies to Europe.
Jabarov said in a statement to Sputnik Agency: "We can call all of these hypothetical agreements because they will not affect our position on gas supplies... We are ready to supply gas to Ukraine through the Turkish Stream and the two Northern Stream lines, but there must be conditions for that," noting that his country was indifferent to the buyer. Gas from his country, especially Germany.
And Victoria Nuland, US Deputy Secretary of State, announced earlier today that the United States will announce later today an agreement reached with the German government regarding the “Northern Stream 2” gas pipeline project.
