Final preparations in the Israeli delegation to Tokyo ahead of the opening ceremony the next day. The Israeli delegation will march in 17th place at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on Friday evening (14:00 Israel time). It usually takes a long time in Israel at every Olympics for the Israeli delegation to fly the flag. Here in Tokyo what determines is the Japanese alphabet and according to which Israel is ranked relatively at the beginning. 35 athletes will march in the Israeli delegation out of the 90 that will compete in Tokyo.

The sailors who are in the distant Hynoshima will not attend the ceremony and also the 12 women and men in judo, will be absent to maintain a high level of concentration.

The organizers allowed only six non-athlete professionals to march at the opening ceremony, while the rest must be athletes.

Only three people from Israel will be able to sit in the stands: Minister of Culture and Sports Hili Trooper who took off from Israel and is on his way to Tokyo, Chairman of the Israel Olympic Committee Yigal Carmi and CEO Gili Lustig, who has been busy last week with meetings and arrangements until the wee hours of the night.
