Erding - The Katholische Kita-Verbund Erding reports major changes in personnel: Two day-care center managers will retire on September 1st, another will be relinquishing her management position.

Ingeborg Eckart looks back on a fulfilling professional life.

"40 years as a kindergarten teacher - that was never boring," says the director of the Catholic kindergarten St. Franziskus on Rotkreuzstrasse in Erding.

"Singing and making music with the children was particularly important to me," explains the educator, reminiscent of the kindergarten CDs she produced.

In 1981 Eckart began her internship in Munich-Trudering, in 1982 she took over the leadership of a group in the municipal kindergarten St. Antonius in Erding. "Later I worked in Inning am Holz and in Steinkirchen," says the teacher who lives in Inning. In 2015 she took over the management of the four-group St. Franziskus kindergarten. In September, Eckart's release phase begins as part of partial retirement.

For Therese Meyer, too, the professional life and an era in the three-group parish kindergarten St. Vinzenz in Klettham come to an end. She has directed it since 1983. After completing her training at the Passau University of Applied Sciences, Meyer started working as an educator in a kindergarten in the Bavarian Forest in 1976, then came to Erding, where she also lives. “The religious upbringing of children was always very important to me,” she says. In view of the national and cultural diversity in the St. Vinzenz kindergarten, this has always been a challenge. “Our facility reflects diversity in every respect,” says Meyer happily.

She was also happy to organize excursions. Forest days and a day on the farm were on the program every year. Meyer knows: “There is hardly another job that is so diverse, where you are so close to the middle of society and who constantly live up to the changes of the times as mine. He gave me a lot. The most honorable task that life imposes on us is to bring up the next generation. "

Sabine Kapfer is taking a longer professional break. The Erdinger is handing over the management of the four-group kindergarten St. Johannes on Schützenstrasse after almost 30 years. "In 1993 the pastor at the time, Josef Mundigl, said to me: 'Sabine, you are now in charge.' Now it's time for a change of scenery, ”announced Kapfer. She is pleased that her kindergarten, as the “House of Little Scientists”, is already promoting education in mathematics, technical and natural science subjects at preschool age: “It is important to me that it will stay that way in the future.”

The successor in the three institutions has already been determined.

Sabine Materna, administrative manager of the daycare network, explains this on request.

The positions were filled partly externally and partly internally after an application process.

Materna thanks Ingeborg Eckart, Therese Meyer and Sabine Kapfer for their work and wishes them all the best for the future.

The Erding Catholic Kindergarten Association is part of the St. Vinzenz-Klettham Church Foundation and is a public corporation.

In addition to St. Franziskus, St. Johannes and St. Vinzenz, the association also includes the Children's House of the Annunciation in Altenerding and the St. Martin Children's House in Langengeisling.

440 children are currently registered in the five facilities and are looked after by 75 employees.
