The “Healthy Business Forum” presented the Schongauer Tafel with a donation worth 800 euros.
The aid organization received half of the amount in the form of Märchenwald vouchers, which it can now pass on to families.
It is the first time that the "Healthy Business Forum" has made a donation. As the founding members Harald Dinter and Michael Meitinger explain, the organization, founded in 2018, wants to regularly support social engagement in the region. In the statutes of the association, which has set itself the task of providing economic advice to small and medium-sized companies, it is even stipulated that five percent of the annual turnover is used for donations. "In the meantime we have an amount that makes a donation worthwhile," says treasurer Dinter.
The available sum of 800 euros was originally supposed to go halfway to the blackboard and half to the Schongau fairy tale forest. However, a monetary donation to the latter was not possible, since the amusement park and zoo is a civil law company (GbR). Since the fairy tale forest suffered a lot from the restrictions caused by the pandemic, the association wanted to encourage it. So a compromise was reached to buy a total of 57 vouchers that can be distributed to the children through the board.
The manager of the Schongauer Tafel, Birgit Gutzeit, sees the timing of the voucher donations so shortly before the summer holidays as ideal. Many families with children who go to the table could now look forward to a trip on vacation. But the aid organization, which operates beyond the city limits, can also use the 400 euros as a transfer. "We have a lot of logistics to finance, such as cooling, heating and electricity," explains Gutzeit. “That is why we are always happy to receive donations.” When handing over the check and vouchers, the second chairman, Michael Meitinger, thanked the Schongauer Tafel for their important work.
