Amado Boudou served two-thirds of his sentence, the one that was handed down on August 7, 2018 when the Federal Oral Court 4 (TOF 4) found him responsible for
the crimes of bribery and negotiations incompatible with the public function,
for the purchase - sale of the former intaglio Ciccone.
With
the reduction of eleven months
of the terms of the sentence, this Tuesday begins another stage in the life of the former vice president: he will be able to go free, he will not be monitored with an ankle, once the criminal execution judge signs the resolution.
There are requirements that you must meet and prohibitions as well.
In a few hours, the former vice president of Cristina Kirchner will return to the street
without any restriction, without the monitoring of an electronic device
, Amado Boudou will be free.
His will be a freedom conditioned by certain requirements imposed by law, but he will leave the prohibition to leave his home, a state in which he has been since April 2020 when in the middle of a pandemic he was granted the morigeration of the sentence.
The Supreme Court of Justice, on December 3, unanimously confirmed that accusatory sentence, and thus Amado Boudou became
the first former vice president with that situation: a firm conviction for corruption
. But he continued under house arrest in the large house, which he rents in Avellaneda. Thus, the deadlines continued to run, because even though he was at home, he was still deprived of his freedom.
The deadlines were accelerated when last Thursday the IV Room of the Cassation Chamber, with the vote of the judges Mariano Borinsky and Ángela Ledesma -with the dissent of Javier Carbajo-, reduced one more month the time of compliance with the sentence that weighs about Amado Boudou.
This was in addition to the ten months that
Daniel Obligado reduced him in February, before leaving the position of criminal execution judge.
Thus it was that the calculations were favorable for the former Minister of Economy

the date that marked on the calendar was brought forward that this Tuesday, July 20, Boudou has already served two-thirds of his sentence, which enabled his lawyers to apply for parole.
Both reductions of terms were applied based on the
Educational Stimulus Law
, when calculating
a series of courses
that Boudou took while in prison, despite his academic training, courses of electrician, electrician assembler, organization of events and a philosophy workshop. In this second instance, the Cassation contemplated online postgraduate courses. specifically a postgraduate degree in Inequalities and Distributive Public Policies, taught remotely by the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (Flacso).

: conviction terms served, although part of that term was at his home, the specific reports on his behavior that in Comodoro Py reiterate, that all are favorable.
That is why on Friday, his lawyers Alejandro Rúa and Graciana Peñafort asked that he be granted conditional freedom.
The resolution must be signed by the Criminal Execution Judge, Ricardo Basilico.
What does probation entail?
In the first place, they must

with which he is monitored since April 2020 and which stipulated the circulation radius.
From now on, another stage for the ex vice begins: he will be able to circulate freely without any restriction.
The articles that govern conditional release stipulate a series of requirements. In the first instance, a report from the management of the establishment must be presented to the courts "and a report from experts who individually and favorably predict their social reintegration", by Boudou.
The requirements outlined by law
speak of residing in the place determined by the resolution under which you will be released on parole.
Also, it is indicated as requirements: to observe the inspection rules established by the criminal execution judge, "especially the obligation to
refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages or using narcotic substances
," the Code states.
On the other hand, Boudou must determine within a specified period, a "trade, art, industry or profession, if he does not have his own means of subsistence."
It should be remembered that he receives his lifetime pension as a former vice president that exceeds
$ 500,000
.
Judge Ricardo Basilico when he revoked the house arrest, recalled that "his economic situation has been improved even with the income from the collection of the pension."
As an exclusive requirement, Boudou to fully enjoy probation "must not commit new crimes."
It will be under
the orbit of the released patronage
and must "undergo medical, psychiatric or psychological treatment, which accredits its need and effectiveness according to the advice of experts."
The former vice vice president did not stop carrying out political activities under his house arrest, they are virtual weekly meetings with various members of the political space that he integrates and advisory talks, among others. The corruption conviction
disqualified him for life from holding any public office,
since according to the sentence, it was in exercise of the same that he committed the crimes of bribery and incompatible negotiations. But now you can personally participate in the various political meetings.
