Criminal execution judge Ricardo Basilico signed Amado Boudou's conditional release after his sentence was reduced by 11 months.

The former vice president of

Cristina Kirchner

served two-thirds of the sentence for corruption in the Ciccone case that was handed down to him in August 2018. It was a private sentence: the last year and a half he was under house arrest and monitored with an electronic anklet housed in a large house with a pool, barbecue area and internal elevator.

From now on, you

will be able to go out without surveillance and with minimal restrictions: one of them will be the prohibition of committing new crimes.

Last Friday, after the Cassation Chamber reduced the deadlines for serving Boudou's sentence for another month, his lawyers Graciana Peñafort and Alejandro Rúa asked that the new count be carried out and that he be finally granted conditional release. .

The former vice vice president accumulated an eleven-month reduction in the terms of his accusatory sentences.

It was what brought forward the date on which two-thirds of his conviction for corruption in the Ciccone case are computed.

Times accelerated for the former vice president when the Educational Stimulus Law was applied in his favor

after recognizing a set of workshops and courses that he carried out while in prison.

The hours of the course of programmer of personal computer database system, another of electrician and electrician assembler, one of organization of events and another of philosophy were counted.

For common prisoners it is usually an ordeal to get that benefit, which for the former vice vice president was applied without problems.

The last one that the Chamber of Cassation took into account was a postgraduate degree in Inequalities and Distributive Public Policies, taught remotely by the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (Flacso).

There are 30 classes, in 8 teaching months, aimed at "professionals, technicians and civil servants."

After this last measure, signed by the chambermaids Mariano Borinsky and Ángela Ledesma -with the dissent of Javier Carbajo-, a new calculation was requested that gave a specific date:

July 20.

With the stipulated term of two thirds of the sentence served, the Criminal Execution Judge, Ricardo Basilico, requested a set of reports required by the criminal law that governs probation.

The magistrate received the report from the management of the place where Boudou resides and will reside, which cannot be modified without the knowledge of the Justice.

Also an expert report that "individually and favorably forecast their social reintegration", by Boudou.

The

inspection rules set by the criminal execution judge will

govern for the vice

,

"especially the obligation to refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages or using narcotic substances," says the Code.

As an exclusive requirement to fully enjoy probation, Boudou

 "must not commit new crimes."

In this new stage,

Boudou will be under the orbit of the released patronage, which is the one who controls that he lives where he reported domicile.

In addition, he monitors

his family group to see if he maintains it and if he returns to work.

In addition, he must "undergo medical, psychiatric or psychological treatment, which prove its need and effectiveness according to the advice of experts."

Boudou's new scenario left the decision of Judge Basilico abstract, who on April 21 revoked his house arrest and ordered that he return to jail to serve the sentence imposed by the Supreme Court of Justice.

The terms of the Chamber of Cassation delayed the decision on that ruling and finally the benefit obtained was conditional release.

Amado Boudou entered prison on August 7, 2018 after the Federal Oral Court 4 (TOF 4) sentenced him to five years and ten months for having found him responsible for the crimes of bribery and negotiations incompatible with the public function for the purchase by Ciccone, the former intaglio with the ability to print paper money.

His time in prison in the ward for corruption inmates in the Ezeiza Prison was not very long.

On April 6, 2020, Judge Daniel Obligado granted him house arrest in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

He considered that it was more convenient to be at home since he had two small children and that his wife's family resides in Mexico.

Again, that benefit is not usually granted to the majority of common prisoners who also have families and children.

Since then, he has remained in a four-story house - linked by an elevator - of 555 square meters.

"It has an impressive entrance with stairs, a large living-dining room, a mega suite of 60 square meters, four bedrooms, an elevator and seven bathrooms," said the real estate ad.

The terms continued to run, aided by the reductions in the terms of serving the sentence. Thus, he reached the fulfillment of two thirds and from this Tuesday he will enjoy his freedom.
