Reports suggest: The lateral thinker scene is trying to take advantage of the flood disaster.

A "family center" has now been closed.

Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler - The situation in the flood areas is still dramatic.

In many places there is neither electricity nor running water, and the clean-up work will take a long time.

The federal government is now loosing 200 million euros in emergency aid for the victims of the flood disaster, an amount that, according to Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU), could increase.

There are also numerous helpers in the disaster areas - but some black sheep among them are more likely to profit from the dramatic situation. There is apparently a system behind the offers, for example from the lateral thinker and right-wing extremist scene: It is about "damaging trust in state measures and structures," warned the Federal Ministry of the Interior.

In Ahrweiler, for example, there is a "peace vehicle" on the move, the appearance of which can hardly be distinguished from an official police car and which spreads false reports via loudspeaker.

The

Sueddeutsche Zeitung

reported, meanwhile, several leaders of the maverick scene that would have pitched their camp in the flooded areas and hunt for votes.

Among other things, Bodo Schiffmann, who has already been investigated for sedition, is on site.

Lateral thinkers in flood areas: Dangerous help

The outwardly conveyed goal of the lateral thinkers in the disaster areas: Help for the flood victims.

But there are also doubts about their quality.

The Rhineland-Palatinate State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Care has now closed a “family center” run by the “Initiative Parents Stand Up” association in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler.

It was set up in a school to look after the children of flood victims.

The closure was due to the poor conditions, it was said: There was neither electricity nor water, the hallways were full of oily mud and the care was provided by unqualified personnel.

"Despite all the hardship that prevails on site, children must be looked after by qualified staff," said Detlef Placzek, President of the State Office, the SWR.

The association “Initiative Parents Stand Up” seems to be at least close to the lateral thinker movement.

Not only was Schiffmann's “family center” advertised in a Facebook video, the association's website also warns against corona vaccinations for children.

We are talking about a "medical experiment" from which the children should be protected.

Flood disaster: Police are forced to issue a warning - Ministry of the Interior warns against propaganda

In the now closed “family center”, children from the age of three were looked after - sometimes without permission.

Another reason for the closure, says Placzek.

"In addition to the disturbance of public safety and order, the reason is the fact that children are cared for in the primary school in Ahrweiler without permission."

The Federal Ministry of the Interior has meanwhile also warned against fundraising campaigns from the lateral thinking scene for the victims of the severe storms. "It is advised to use a wide range of information to find out about ways to provide effective aid and to only participate in fundraising campaigns that are organized by official aid organizations", quoted the

world

on Thursday from Horst Seehofer's department (CSU ).

The ministry is aware of allegations from the scene that the Bundeswehr and Technical Relief Organization (THW) are not sufficiently on site in the crisis regions or that the aid is only inadequately coordinated, the newspaper reported.

Most of these claims are connected with calls for help and financial support from individual protagonists of the lateral thinking scene.

"These are primarily disseminated via social media and are particularly aimed at damaging trust in government measures and structures," said the ministry, according to the newspaper report.

Flood: "Shameless" - Greens see lateral thinkers, imperial citizens and right-wing extremists "Celebrate Day X"

According to

the

Süddeutsche Zeitung

, there are increasing calls online to drive to the disaster area in large groups. Warnings would be avoided, according to which buses with helpers from the right-wing extremist camp had been sent out from all over Germany. The police wrote on Facebook that they would take decisive action against people "who misuse the disaster situation for political purposes under the guise of providing assistance".

Green parliamentary deputy Konstantin von Notz described the appearance of lateral thinking supporters in the disaster area as "shameless". Lateral thinkers, citizens of the Reich and other right-wing extremists tried to “celebrate their personal day X” in front of the suffering of the people, said von Notz to the editorial network Germany on Thursday. A conscious weakening of state infrastructures is counterproductive and, under certain circumstances, punishable by law. (
