The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced the registration of 49 new cases of coronavirus and 8 deaths during the past 24 hours.
Khaled Mujahid, the ministry's spokesman, stated that "the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus to date reached 283,862, including 225,869 cases that were cured and 16,465 deaths."
And Muhammad Al-Nadi, a member of the scientific committee to combat Corona in the ministry, had stated earlier this month that the third wave of Corona passed peacefully and he expected a fourth wave of the pandemic in the country early or mid-September.
