Home instead of risk area: This summer, many travelers are opting for a vacation in Bavaria.
What restrictions does the coronavirus create?
Many people play it safe during this summer vacation and forego traveling abroad.
Instead, take a
vacation on the Bavarian front door
this year
.
And many guests from other federal states also come to the foothills of the Alps.
But to what extent
does Corona influence the trip to Bavaria
?
What is possible and where are there travel restrictions again this year?
Tests, contact restrictions and a mask requirement: This applies when you are on vacation in Bavaria
Whether it's a hotel, holiday apartment or campsite - they are all open to guests this summer.
There is currently no accommodation ban.
It is important that the hosts adhere to the hygiene concepts and minimum distances.
For you, this may mean that buffets are not available as usual in the hotel's dining room.
However, if the incidences remain low, guests do not have to worry about major restrictions.
These are the applicable corona rules when you travel in Bavaria:
Test obligation:
For incidence
values
below 50, guests must
present
a
negative test
on arrival at the hostel
, which is no more than 24 hours old. If the values rise above 50, a quick test is due every 48 hours. Fully vaccinated and convalescent people are exempt from the obligation to test. The obligation, however, also applies to children from the age of six. For family holidays in Bavaria, this means:
If you are unlucky,
your
offspring must be tested every other day.
Contact restrictions:
Traveling in a large group will be rather difficult - at least for the unvaccinated.
If the incidence is below 50, you can
travel
with ten other people
outside of your household.
If the incidence rises, there will only be
a maximum of ten people from three households
- including yours.
Vaccinated, convalescent and children under the age of 14 are not included.
Mask requirement:
In the hotel, mask requirements apply everywhere except at the table and in the living unit.
Masks are also required indoors and outdoors as long as you are not at the table at the campsite.
Extensive outdoor areas are excluded.
In the holiday home, special rules may apply to meeting places.

Plan your vacation activities early
The prospects for an active summer are good.
When the incidence is low
, most recreational facilities are open
and cultural events can also take place.
As a
rule, you do not need a mask in
spacious outdoor areas such as animal or amusement parks
,
and
there is no need to test
if the incidence is low.
Only indoors and in the catering trade is the usual motto: put your mask on.
The only drawback is the still existing visitor restrictions.
Tickets for museums and swimming pools sell out quickly
.
So, if you have special plans, act early.
