Hong Kong Express announced today (22nd) that it will officially operate direct flights from Hong Kong to Taipei and Hong Kong to Kaohsiung starting on August 23 and 26.

According to the official website of Express, the fare for the maiden flight to Taipei is 1,128 yuan; as for the maiden flight to Hong Kong, the fare is 1,028 yuan. If you add 20 kilograms of checked baggage, you will need to charge an additional 260 yuan.

Hong Kong Express currently provides direct flights between Hong Kong and Taichung. Together with two new routes from Taipei and Kaohsiung, passengers will be able to fly directly to the three major cities in Taiwan.

The fare is about 1,000 yuan per trip to Taipei for the afternoon flight

According to the official website of Express, the maiden flight from Hong Kong to Taipei on August 23, the fare is 1,128 yuan, departs at 3:55 pm, and is expected to arrive in Taipei at 5:55 pm; as of August 26, the maiden flight from Hong Kong to Gaokao , The fare is 1,028 yuan, departs at 10:50 am and arrives in Kaohsiung at 12:20 noon.

If the passenger adds 20 kg of checked baggage, an additional charge of 260 yuan will be charged.

Hong Kong Express also suggested that passengers travelling to Taipei and Kaohsiung should pay attention to the local entry requirements, including the testing arrangements before and after arrival, compulsory quarantine and submission of declaration forms.

Cathay Pacific has already re-operated the routes originally operated by Dragonair

Looking at the information, Dragonair returned 46 routes to the Hong Kong government when it was suspended last year.
