The number of Hong Kong immigrants to the UK is increasing. The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, welcomes Hong Kong residents to settle there and said that the city government will allocate 900,000 pounds to help them solve housing, school and job search problems.
Jian Shide said that more than 34,000 Hong Kong residents have applied for BNO visas, but due to the epidemic, many people still have not left for the UK.
He believes that about one-quarter to one-third of the applicants will be based in London, but the current situation is still in the preliminary stage.

The UK will provide a new visa program for BNO holders in 2020. Applicants can apply for naturalization after living in the UK for 5 years.
The British government estimates that there will be approximately 123,000 to 153,000 Hong Kong residents applying this year, and there may be a maximum of 322,000 applicants in the next five years.
