Nuremberg - Civil officers from the Nuremberg Police Station * -Mitte caught two men in the act on the night from Tuesday (July 20) to Wednesday (July 21).

Nuremberg: civil officials caught men smashing the car windows

At around 1 a.m., the officers noticed the two men in the Schanzäckerstrasse area.

They ran around seemingly aimlessly between cars, some of which were parked in backyards.

But appearances are deceptive: When checking the vehicles, the police discovered that the side windows of several cars had been damaged.

The police promptly caught the men in the act: when they returned shortly afterwards, they broke a window on a vehicle.

The officers then provisionally arrested the two 40- and 41-year-old men.

The 40-year-old defended himself and spat in the direction of the emergency services.

The men are now under investigation, among other things, on suspicion of an attempted particularly serious case of theft.
