Several websites, including Le Parisien, were partially inaccessible on Thursday.

This is the case for media sites, such as those of Le Figaro and France Info, but also other sites such as Airbnb, Asos, Fnac or services such as the Playstation Network, Steam or MyCanal.

The incidence appears to have started around 5:30 p.m. at several sites at the same time.

Around 6:30 p.m., some sites were returning, but were still very slow.

According to the Down detector website, which identifies breakdowns on websites thanks to user reports, Google, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Amazon, Ikea and even Youtube sites have also been disrupted.

According to the first elements, it is the services of the American company Akamai which are in question.

The company, which provides cloud computing services, announced at 16:09 to be aware of "an emerging problem with the Edge DNS service."

"We are actively studying the problem," said the company on a dedicated page.
