Deaths due to riots in two prisons in Ecuador amounted to more than 20, while several police officers are reported injured, according to the National Service for Comprehensive Attention to Adults Deprived of Liberty and Adolescent Offenders (SNAI).
The riots were registered in the prisons of Libertad Guayas number one and Cotopaxi number one, according to the entity's statement.
