The federal government is apparently planning to declare the two countries to be so-called high incidence areas on Friday (23.07.2021). This is reported by the newspapers of the Funke media group, including the Berliner Morgenpost. The Robert Koch Institute defines a "high incidence area" as follows: "High incidence areas are risk areas with particularly high numbers of cases." This is a higher warning level for tourists.

The Netherlands was recently put on the list of risk areas by the RKI.

The number of new infections increases on site from day to day.

Spain has been a corona risk area for around two weeks.
