Disabled people's organizations announced tonight (Thursday) that they will renew the protest for rights on Sunday.

This, after a round of talks with officials in the Ministry of Finance in an attempt to bring about the implementation of the Disability Law, which failed to lead to a conclusion.

As part of the struggle, the protesters are expected to block major roads and demonstrate in front of government ministries.

"We will intensify the struggle and raise a number of steps," said the leaders of the struggle in the offices of the organization for the advancement of the rights of the disabled in Haifa.

"We expected more from Lieberman. He has shown solidarity with us in the past, and ignores the moment of being finance minister. People tell us that the finance minister and the foreign minister are laughing in our eyes. Before the election, they supported and promised and disappeared."

"What you saw in 2018 is not what you will see now," promised Eyal Cohen of Beit Oren, one of the leaders of the struggle, who emphasized: "The goal at the moment is to hit the state coffers. "Again and again. We announce unequivocally - we will cause billions in damages to the state coffers."

He called on the Treasury to "close it all down with one billion."

According to them, public opinion is less significant.

"Ten thousand people went out to transport chickens in Tel Aviv. Then we realized that disabled people are less interested in the public than chickens," they claimed.

Lavi Naor, a spokesman for the disabled protest groups in Israel, said that this was a turning point in the struggle.

"From Sunday, a new, rigid and much more intense struggle. We are not asking for anything that has not been passed in the law, that the Knesset itself has enacted."

Hani Dafna, who heads the organization for the promotion of the rights of the disabled, added that "by tricks, the rope is repeatedly pulled under our feet. It is a shame, we have been thrown some crumbs and since then excuses, elections, corona. It is a struggle for existence. .
