The Skateboarding Miesbach association wants to build a skate park in Neuhaus.

And beach volleyball should also come.

But resistance is already forming.

Neuhaus - It's one of those things with sports facilities in Schliersee: The dreams of the natural sports arena on the ice rink on Freudenberg have burst, the plans for a toboggan run are on ice, and the groundbreaking for the new gym has been postponed again (we reported on each). Now a young duo is daring a new project. Florian Maban (25) and Yannick Datzer (22), the chair duo of the Skateboarding Miesbach association, would like to build a skate park in the Rasunda Stadium. Not just a few ramps and jumps, but a real facility, 53 by 27 meters, on which it goes up and down, with a variety of possibilities to let off steam on the board. An expensive business - and an ambitious one. Because in addition to regulatory hurdles, resistance from neighbors also wants to be overcome.

Discussions with the municipality and authorities in the run-up to the presentation

Maban and Datzer, who put a lot of time into the planning, are anything but naive.

They have been working on their plans for a year and have spoken to the municipality, the district administration and the state forests.

Now they have presented their plans to the Schliersee building committee.

"That would be a huge added value for the youth," said Datzer.

Because there is still something comparable in Holzkirchen.

However, that is quite a long way off for the core target group.

The Rasunda Stadium, continues Datzer, “would be the ideal place”.

The facility is to be built right next to the tennis courts.

Residents worry about the parking situation and noise

The project itself received a lot of praise in the committee, but there were also concerns.

Maban and Datzer let the residents know about their plans last week.

"There was also resistance," says Maban.

And the neighbors had obviously also carried this to the committee.

Gerhard Waas (Greens) reported about critics who were concerned about the parking lot situation and evening celebrations in the tennis parlor.

During their presentation, the club's bosses had already stated at their presentation that their target group, children and adolescents, tend to come by bus and train because they don't have a driver's license, and that the connection there is good.

And: "If someone wants to celebrate in the parlor, they can do it now," says Maban.

Concreted area in the floodplain?

"All the alarm bells are ringing"

Horst Teckhaus (PWG) was irritated that such a large area should be sealed in a flood plain.

Especially in view of the flood disaster, "the alarm bells are ringing everywhere".

In this regard, Vice Mayor Peter Sprenger (Die Schlierseer) suggested "a compensation further down on communal areas".

Philipp Krogoll (Die Schlierseer) also believed: "There is sure to be a solution."

Floods, drinking water and noise - there is still a lot to be clarified

Mayor Franz Schnitzenbaumer (CSU) reminded that various specialist authorities will deal with the project in the course of the building application.

The topic of drinking water will also be on the agenda, because the site is located in a water protection area.

The noise pollution will also be put to the test here, although Maban and Datzer have already held preliminary talks with the district office.

The former says: "A concreted system has the advantage that it is extremely sound-absorbing, unlike hollow ramps." And the association has already talked to one more point: the state forest as the landowner.

No objections.

The community is building two beach volleyball courts next door, the soccer field is being relocated

Ultimately, there was a unanimous yes from the building committee, which also decided to create two beach volleyball courts right next door.

Together with the small football field next to it - the entire area has been leased by the municipality - the Rasunda Stadium would become a real sports center.

“A family story,” said Krogoll (Die Schlierseer), who recalled the construction of the tennis courts many years ago.

At that time, too, there were serious concerns, but they turned out to be completely exaggerated.

Because of the expected resistance, which can also lead to lengthy legal proceedings, the initiators have not given themselves a schedule. The association wants to raise the middle six-digit amount for the construction through donors and foundations. You are already active there, says Maban.
