Moosburg's CSU has rejuvenated itself: three top positions have been filled with junior staff.

There is a spirit of optimism.

Moosburg

- The CSU Moosburg has renewed and rejuvenated: In the first annual general meeting after the local elections, there was now a generation change at the top of the local association.

The previous chairman, Erwin Weber, moved into the second row as secretary and cleared the way for the new local chairman, Max Mader.

The 37-year-old Moosburger was previously involved in the Junge Union in Munich and ran for 22nd place in the 2020 local elections. With all 23 votes from those eligible to vote, Max Mader got the only unanimous result of the evening.

It was noticeable that Mader has a lot of approval and it was also noticeable that the CSU wants to bring back the mayor's office.

After his election, however, the new chairman said that the local elections in 2026 are still a long way off and that the change in the board of directors is not a signal in this regard.

Old chairman is happy about generation change

"I trust him to do everything," said the previous chairman Erwin Weber, who was at the head of the local association from 2001 to 2009 and since 2019 again.

He emphasized that the CSU is not a party "in which old people do not give up their positions".

Weber was therefore happy about the generation change, because in addition to the new boss, Lorena Kehlringer and Torsten Koch, there are two younger deputies.

The other deputy is Rudolf Heinz, currently parliamentary group spokesman in the city council.

Erwin Weber will in future experience the board meetings from the second row - as secretary.

Karin Linz completes the management team as treasurer.

The position of digital officer, to which Rudi Linz was elected, was newly created.

The eight members of the board are Bernhard Gruber, Georg Hadersdorfer, Markus Kasper, Christian Schweiger, Orhan Söhmelioglu, Manfred Tristl, Wolfgang Wagner and Sabine Woppmann.

Long-time mayor receives the highest CSU award at local level

Because of Corona, there was no possibility for meetings and events for a long time.

Therefore, the long-time mayor Anita Meinelt was officially adopted with a delay.

She got the diamond of honor in bronze.

This is the highest distinction that a local association in the CSU can bestow.

Meinelt, who also acted as election supervisor that evening, congratulated the local association on the generation change and the motivated staff: "With these young people plus Rudi Heinz at the top, you can really only be successful ..."
