A novice driver actually wanted to make room for him, but then pushed the car into the ditch.

Ammersdorf - Actually, the young driver from the Erding district just wanted to make room for an ambulance.

But then on Friday around 1 p.m. on the state road 2084 between Erding and Dorfen near Ammersdorf (city of Erding) the two vehicles collided.

The ambulance landed in the ditch and lay on its side.

In response to a request from our newspaper, the Erdinger police reported that the ambulance with blue lights coming from Dorfen was on its way towards Erding.

It wanted to bring a patient to the hospital.

The novice driver driving in front of the ambulance wanted to clear the lane.

He first drove to the right to the side of the road, but then wanted to turn left into a driveway.

At this point, the ambulance had already started to overtake, scraped past the car and fell into the ditch, where it lay on its side.

The car driver and the driver of the emergency vehicle were slightly injured, the elderly patient moderately severe and the paramedic who was with her in the rear of the ambulance was seriously injured.

He came to a Munich clinic by rescue helicopter.

The Erding fire brigade, the Erding district fire inspection and a large number of the rescue service were also in action.
