Before the end of the Off of this 74th edition of the Avignon festival disrupted by the implementation of the sanitary pass, on July 31, discover two new pieces that have seduced the editorial staff of
Le Figaro.
The Tamed Shrew
We suspect Frédérique Lazarini of having identified with Catarina (Delphine Depardieu excellent), the indomitable heroine of William Shakespeare.
Its staging focuses on a rebel, an eldest daughter whom her father wishes to marry at all costs and who panics the hearts of Petruchio (credible Cédric Colas) or Lucentio (Pierre Einaudi perfect).
In a becoming dress by Dominique Bourde, Delphine Depardieu lends her her voluntary nature, sends the male race to the roses with unparalleled joy.
Feminists rejoice, men pretend to be angry.
There is an air of commedia dell'arte there, a wind of comedy which maddens all hearts.
Until July 31, Théâtre du Chêne noir, Salle Léo Ferré, 04 90 86 74 87, www.chenenoir.fr Health pass compulsory.
The Metamorphosis of the Storks
We feel the lived experience. Marc Arnaud plays and interprets
The Metamorphosis of the Cigognes which
he had premiered at the Ciné 13 theater now the Théâtre Lepic, in Paris. His character Marc Arnaud waits alone in a small room. A plastic cup is placed on a stool in the center of the stage. A nurse enters and asks him to respect the protocol:
"Did you drink the glass of water?"
Yes, Mr. Arnaud drank the glass of water and even washed his hands.
But he does not make up his mind to accomplish the next task.
His goal ?
Have a child by in vitro fertilization.
The term is barbaric and the approach is an obstacle course.
Arnaud goes back to the beginning of the story and confides his fears as a future father.
Directed by the very fine Benjamin Guillard, Marc Arnaud makes sparks in this delicate and sensitive show.
Until July 26, Théâtre du Train bleu 84,000 Avignon, theatredutrainbleu.fr. Mandatory health pass
