Today, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced that one of its soldiers was killed in a shooting by Armenian forces in the Kalbajar region on the Armenian-Azerbaijan border.
"Russia Today" website quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "A non-commissioned officer in the Azerbaijani forces was killed by sniper fire by the Armenian side," adding: "The Azerbaijani forces deployed in this direction are currently taking retaliatory measures in response to the targeting."
Later, the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported that 3 of its soldiers were wounded by fire from Azerbaijani forces in the Gykarkunik region, east of Armenia.
The Armenian Ministry confirmed that its forces did not take any measures against the Azerbaijani party before the latter started shooting at the Armenian soldiers.
