Bennett spoke with the UAE ruler for the first time since taking office

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke by telephone today (Friday) with the regent of Abu Dhabi and the de facto ruler of the United Arab Emirates, Muhammad bin Zayed.
This is the first conversation between the two since Bennett took office as prime minister.
The Prime Minister's Office said that Bennett thanked the regent for opening the United Arab Emirates embassy in Israel and for hosting the official visit of Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid to their country.
Bennett stressed that he sees great importance in the strategic relations between the countries, which are expressed in a variety of areas.
The Prime Minister also noted that the United Arab Emirates' approach to Israel is an important change that inspires other countries and leaders in the region.
The two agreed to keep in touch and meet later.
