This time, the cause of the discontent is not economic but health, with a libertarian side.
A few days after Emmanuel Macron's speech on Monday July 12, during which he announced compulsory vaccination for caregivers and the extension of the health pass to most places of life and culture, some 114,000 people - including 18,000 in Paris - gathered to protest against a measure deemed to be liberticidal.
On Wednesday, July 21, opponents also gathered, in smaller numbers, at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. in front of the National Assembly.
