The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced the registration of 5 deaths and 44 infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours.
Ministry spokesman Khaled Mujahid said that the total number of infections in the country since the outbreak of the epidemic has risen to 283,906 cases, while the number of deaths has reached 16,470 cases, and 226,535 people have recovered.
Mohamed El-Nadi, a member of the Scientific Committee to Combat Corona in the Egyptian Health, had stated earlier this month that the third wave of Corona passed peacefully and he expected a fourth wave of the pandemic in the country early or mid-September.
Yesterday, Egypt recorded 49 new infections and 8 deaths from the Corona virus.
