According to Xinhua News Agency, representatives of the Hong Kong National People’s Congress donated HK$1 million and wrote to the Standing Committee of the Henan Provincial People’s Congress stating, “Hong Kong compatriots are always concerned about the safety of Henan compatriots, and I would like to express my deep condolences to the victims and their relatives and the injured. My compatriots express their deep condolences and express their lofty respect to the rescuers who fought bravely."

The Friendship Association of Provincial CPPCC Members of the Port Area also organized all provincial CPPCC members and members of the port area to donate for disaster relief.
