The Tokyo Olympics has started, and the enthusiasm for sports has spread throughout the city.

On August 1st, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) held the "Sports for All Day 2021", everyone moved together!

This year's "Sports for All Day" continues to use the slogan "Half an hour a day to exercise healthy and happy people relax" to encourage adults and children to develop healthy habits of regular exercise.

There are so many exciting programs on the day of the event!

Vouchers for free sports activities are now being distributed at designated locations.

Activity 1: Participate in free sports activities

From 2pm to 6pm on National Sports Day on August 1, designated gyms in the 18 districts will host a number of free recreational and sports activities, including dance and other sports demonstrations, fun activities, fitness clubs, parent-child sports activities, health seminars and Activities for people with disabilities.

The Leisure Services Offices of the 18 Districts of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and designated venues are now distributing event vouchers. People who are interested in participating in the event can get it for free.

Activity 2: "Olympic Live Zone" cheer for Hong Kong athletes

To support Hong Kong athletes in participating in the Tokyo Olympics, on the "Sports for All Day", designated venues in the 18 districts of Hong Kong will set up special Olympic events for the public to participate in, including fencing, badminton and table tennis.

In addition, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will set up an "Olympic Live Zone" in sports halls in 18 districts in Hong Kong from now to August 8 to broadcast Olympic programs and display Olympic panels. The opening hours are from 8 am to 11 pm. Everyone is welcome to watch. The Olympic games and highlights, cheer for local athletes together!

Activity 3: Live online learning to dance, emerging sports

This year's "Sports for All Day" added a live webcast for the first time, and everyone can learn about different sports at home.

Dance is the focus of this year’s "Sports for All Day" to promote sports. On the day of the event, the LCSD’s "Sports for All Day" webpage and the "LC + + +" Facebook page will broadcast live dance and sports demonstrations, including Latin dance ( Samba, Chacha, Rumba, Bullfighting, Cowboy), Breaking and Fitness Dance, in response to different dance types, lead everyone into different virtual scenes, so that everyone can learn more!

As always, the public can use the leisure facilities under the Leisure and Cultural Services Department for free on the "Sports for All Day".

Citizens interested in booking facilities can reserve the recreational facilities on the day of the event, including badminton courts, for free at the "Leisure Link" booking offices (excluding self-service stations) of the venues of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department from 9 am on Sunday (July 25) , Tennis courts, basketball courts, netting courts, sports climbing walls, archery ranges and rope nets, etc. For more information on "Sports for All Day 2021", please refer to the website of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
