Health pass: what to do in case of loss of the recovery certificate?

2021-07-23T11:19:10.631Z

A person who has been infected with the coronavirus can use their old positive test as a health pass, because they are considered temporarily immune. In case of loss of the document, there are some remedies.

At a time when the health pass becomes general, people who have had the coronavirus can claim their past contamination to obtain this pass, without having to repeat the tests or be vaccinated immediately.

Indeed, the authorities consider that an individual who has had the coronavirus can take advantage of immunity within six months of his infection.

If he was tested positive more than fifteen days ago, he can therefore scan the test which attests to it with the TousAntiCovid application and, thanks to this sesame, go to places of leisure and culture that request it. and soon in bars, restaurants, hospitals, train stations and other airports.

It is still necessary to be able to get hold of this positive test.

Even a few months ago, PCR tests were not necessarily accompanied by a paper document and a QR code allowing it to be transferred to the application.

In case of loss of the document, it is even more complicated.

But some means of recourse exist.

Since the archiving system has evolved over the months, these remedies will vary depending on when your positive test is performed.

Le Figaro

takes stock.

Different device depending on the time of contamination

If the test was carried out before March 28, there is unfortunately no way to recover it through the services of the Ministry of Health.

The patient can however try to contact the laboratory where the test was carried out to obtain a copy;

but it is not guaranteed that it will include a QR code, which is absolutely necessary to obtain a valid health pass.

If you were infected and tested positive between March 28 and April 19, you may have been asked to pick up your test in European format via resend SMS or email.

The date of April 19 corresponds to the establishment of the online platform sidep.gouv.fr.

Accessible via FranceConnect (which allows you to connect with the identifiers that you use for the tax site or those of the Health Insurance), the SI-DEP site keeps a copy of all the tests carried out.

In principle, this is where you can find the precious lost test.

Be careful, however, SI-DEP only keeps in memory the tests carried out in a period of three months maximum.

Only PCR tests are accepted

This device therefore remains unsuitable for many situations, which the Ministry of Health assures to be aware of: questioned on this subject Thursday evening during the examination of the anticovid bill, Minister Olivier Véran asserted the interest of extend the data retention period currently set to three months, in order to “

maintain the serological status of people who have been infected

”.

No such amendment was added by the deputies to the bill, which is now in the hands of the senators. The data retention period could however be extended without violating the law. The National Commission for Informatics and Liberties (Cnil) sees no objection, but specifies that this information system should not last beyond six months after the end of the state of emergency. health, for the protection of privacy and personal data.

To avoid any false hope, however, it should be noted that since the publication of a decree on July 9 in the Official Journal, only PCR tests can confirm that contamination has taken place.

Antigenic tests are no longer accepted to validate the health pass.

Anyone who has therefore not succeeded in finding their positive PCR test dating back less than six months must, to obtain their health pass, obtain a complete vaccination schedule or perform a negative test every two days.

If you only have an antigen test, you can on the other hand use it to speed up your vaccination schedule: it provides access to a "

1-dose schedule,

" specifies the Directorate General of Health (DGS) in

Le Figaro. .

It is then sufficient to "

present the report (of the test) to the health professional on the day of the vaccination

".
