Seeing "ET" on a tarmac is not usual. Projected on a Boeing 747, it is even less so. But it is possible this Saturday, as soon as "nightfall", at the Air and Space Museum at Le Bourget (Seine-Saint-Denis). This is the bet of "Ciné Tarmac", which takes place on Saturdays July 24 and 31, then August 14 and 21. And whatever the weather conditions. In the event of rain or a thunderstorm, scheduled for this weekend, the screening will take place: the film will be shown in the hall dedicated to the Concordes. The fuselage, that is to say the outer surface of the Concordes, will not, unlike that of the Boeing 747, act as a screen.

The program of Ciné Tarmac falls under the theme of the year of the museum: space.

Hence the broadcast of

ET, the extraterrestrial

of Steven Spielberg this Saturday, July 24,

Figures in the shadows

of Theodore Melfi on July 31,

2001,

Stanley Kubrick's

Space Odyssey

on August 14 and by

Moon

by Duncan Jones on August 21.

Yoga classes and massages on the track

This is the second edition of Ciné Tarmac.

The first, in 2020, had welcomed a hundred visitors for each session.

The museum hopes to welcome even more moviegoers this year, thanks to other activities on the tarmac.

In particular, it will be possible to take yoga classes or have a massage from osteopaths.

As in 2020, nearly 300 deckchairs will be arranged and spaced this year in compliance with health measures.

In 2020, during the first edition of "Ciné Tarmac", deckchairs were installed in the hall where the Concordes are installed, as will be the case this year in rainy weather.

The ambition?

To attract "an Ile-de-France and family audience".

To do this, the films will all be screened in French version (VF).

Access to the screening is included in the price of a classic ticket, i.e. 16 euros, and also gives access to the night visit of the museum, from 6 p.m.

It is free for young people under 26 years old.

The health pass is compulsory at the entrance to the Museum for over 18s.

The screening should begin between 9 and 10 p.m., at nightfall.

Saturdays 24 and 30 July, 6 and 14 August, access from 6 p.m. to the museum for the various activities and start of the broadcast between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.
