The mayor of José C. Paz,
Mario Alberto Ishii,
presented with respiratory difficulties after testing positive for coronavirus and on Thursday he had to be transferred to an intensive therapy room, connected to oxygen.
"Due to the physical involvement of the picture and its multiple risk factors,
the patient's prognosis is reserved,
" is reported in the medical report signed by the municipal health secretary and released this Friday.
As stated, the historic Peronist mayor is connected to a high-flow oxygen cannula after a chest CT scan showed images
"consistent with bilateral pneumonia."
On Thursday, Ishii had reported via Twitter that he tested positive for COVID.
"After being preventatively isolated due to being in close contact with a person with covid, I want to tell you that
I did the swab that finally tested positive,
" the community chief posted.
"By medical recommendation I am in the
Hospital and Treatment Center Via Area of COVID-19
", continues the thread.

As reported by
Clarin
sources close to the historic chief of the PJ,
Ishii was in contact with a family
on Saturday morning, which, in the present symptoms,
that same afternoon hyssop and tested positive
.
As there was close contact and "due to the
risk factors and comorbidities of the mayor
, it was decided to carry out a
preventive isolation,"
the sources reported.

On the same Saturday and the following Monday, the mayor
took rapid tests, which were negative
, but after presenting a fever, on Wednesday he
underwent a PCR swab that a day later gave a positive result
.
Initially the contagion had been reported and that the hospitalization was "as a precaution", but they had not given details of the symptoms that the mayor had presented.
As Ishii is a
high-risk patient, they
decided to admit him to the
Domingo Angio Hospital
, one of the
public health centers
that opened in recent years.
With the pandemic, last year it became one of the places to admit Covid patients.
"
The idea is to follow the evolution of the disease
closely to have it controlled," they specified at the time of admission from the Municipality.
In his environment they also explained that he
has applied the two doses of the
coronavirus
vaccine
, which he received in the first rounds of the campaign because he is a risk patient.
The mayor of José C Paz Mario Ishii is isolated due to a close contact of Coronavirus.

Of
62 years
, this is not the first health alert that the village headman has in this 2021. In March 2021
must have a hernia operation
after suddenly started having
severe abdominal pains
while he was in his office working .
The contagion, now, brings concern in the environment of the mayor and occurs at the time of the
closing of lists for legislative elections.
As in most of the districts, in José C. Paz everything is in full swing of negotiations and definitions.
But in this case it is almost confirmed that there will be an open intern in the ruling party.
To date, it is most likely that the Frente de Todos will present
two lists in the territory of "El Japones".
Mario Ishii received Governor Axel Kicillof on July 6, with whom they made a tour of José C. Paz.
One will have the traditional local PJ, headed by
trusted leaders of the mayor
, and another will respond to La Cámpora, which is led in the district by Buenos Aires deputy José Pérez.
He is a leader, however, as close to Máximo Kirchner as to Ishii himself
.
July 6
Ishii accompanied Governor Axel Kicillof, with whom he has been close
since the 2019 campaign
, on a tour of his district.
They inaugurated hydraulic and paving works, reopened the Néstor Kirchner Rapid Documentation Center (CDR) and
toured the
Covid-19
vaccination post
located at the headquarters of the Medicine career of the National University of José C. Paz.
Mario Ishii met with María Tolosa Paz, one of the names in dance for the Government's candidacies in the Province, in the second week of July.
Last week, the mayor
had a meeting at the Casa Rosada with the president
, and was also with the president of the National Council for the Coordination of Social Policies, Victoria Tolosa Paz
,
who is among those chosen by Alberto Fernández for the list of deputies in the legislative elections of the Province of Buenos Aires.
Ishii is one of the longest-lived mayors of the Buenos Aires suburbs.
He was elected for the first time in 1999, and ruled uninterruptedly until 2011, when he chose to compete for the provincial government in an intern with
Daniel Scioli
, who was running for reelection.
Finally, the La Paz
was defeated in the primaries
, where he received a meager
6.18%
of the votes of his front,
against 93.82%
of the head of the provincial executive.
After that defeat, he was a candidate for
provincial senator
, a position he
held between 2013 and 2015,
when he finally ceased his license and
resumed the municipal executive that he holds to this day

The mayor gained notoriety at the national level in July 2020, in the middle of the coronavirus quarantine, when a video was leaked in which, speaking with a group of public employees of the health sector, he told them the phrase "I have them to cover when they are selling falopa with ambulances. "
"They misunderstood me. Falopa is the drugs. And obviously I put myself at the disposal of justice," Ishii explained at that time.
