After a server has been hacked, vaccinated persons can no longer obtain certificates in pharmacies.
But that should change again.
Berlin - From next week, pharmacies in Germany should be able to gradually issue corona vaccination certificates again.
The Federal Ministry of Health informed the German Press Agency on Friday that pharmacies would gradually get access to the portal of the German Pharmacists' Association (DAV) again in the next week and thus be able to issue vaccination certificates again.
The DAV had stopped the exhibition in consultation with the ministry, as there were reports of a security breach on Thursday.
The "Handelsblatt" had therefore succeeded in creating a guest access for a non-existent pharmacy owner "with the help of professionally forged documents" on the DAV server, with which two vaccination certificates were then issued online.
According to the Ministry of Health, only the few hundred pharmacies that are not members of the DAV were potentially affected by the security gap.
“All granted accesses are already checked and verified.
According to the current state of knowledge, there has been no fraud in the creation of vaccination certificates, ”said the ministry.
Work is also being done to increase the security of the issuing of vaccination certificates by integrating the process into the telematics infrastructure. The telematics infrastructure digitally networks various players in the healthcare sector, for example doctors and health insurance companies. dpa
