The EC 1960 Huglfing wants to build a hall for his - and other - stick shooters.

The planning is now in place, construction work should start this autumn.

Huglfing

- On July 1st, the lease agreement was signed with the municipality for the site on Tautinger Weg, which has a term of 30 years.

Now that the permits have also been granted, nothing stands in the way of building the hall, as chairman Florian Nutzinger reported to the two dozen visitors to the general meeting of EC 1960 Huglfing.

The construction machines are due to arrive in November to level the site.

Then a floor slab is concreted on which the steel hall is mounted.

Trapezoidal sheet metal with thermal insulation is used for the roof.

In the three outer walls there are roller doors that can be opened for ventilation.

The outer cladding is made of wood.

Eight stock lanes are planned

In the 46-meter-long and 34-meter-wide building there is also space for the integrated clubhouse, which is being built using conventional solid construction. A 120 square meter dining room, kitchen and the necessary functional rooms are planned in this at ground level. Above that there is a gallery with a view of the eight ski lifts. The building will cost 820,000 euros net. The municipality pays 429,000 euros, which also gives an interest-free 30-year loan of 63,000 euros. The club receives 192,000 euros as a grant from the state sports association. In addition, personal contribution to the value of 82,000 euros is planned.

The ongoing operation should be cost-effective, as a photovoltaic system on the roof should not only serve the energy transition, but also generate income.

Further income is to be achieved through perimeter advertising and the symbolic sale of square meters at a price of ten euros.

The hall should not only be available to the club's cane shooters, but also to others.

In addition, championships are to be held in it.

Thanks to the use of concrete paving on the tracks, the closed hall can be used all year round, regardless of the weather.

After covering the lanes, it could also be used for other events for which a marquee would otherwise have to be set up.

Project as a "lighthouse project"

Mayor Markus Huber described the project as a "lighthouse project" that is supported by the local council.

It offers a huge opportunity to attract members to the association.

It currently has 75 members, including 20 active members.

The club also wants to attract young talent through social events such as shooting out on September 11th, in which only fast plates are allowed to be used, so that all participants have a chance and can enjoy stick shooting.

Although the "E" in the name of the club indicates "ice", this will no longer play a role in the future.

In the new hall there is only shooting at concrete pavement, and visits to ice rinks also have no great future, according to managing director Andreas Knipschild.

The reason for this is the high cost of renting the hall time.

In order to make the association fit for the future, editorial changes were made to the statutes and the rules of procedure.

It now meets the current requirements for charitable status.

As a major task, the hall construction is organizationally separated from the general management of the club.
