Where do Germans get infected with Corona while on vacation?

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) has published data on infection cases abroad - the top 10 corona countries.

Berlin - Traveling in Corona times is risky, as current RKI data show.

The cases in which those affected are likely to have become infected abroad have increased significantly in recent weeks.

In its weekly report, the RKI shows a period of four weeks - from the 25th reporting week (21 to 27 June 2021) to the 28th reporting week (12 July to 18 July 2021).

According to the RKI, of the 23,649 corona cases reported, a probable exposure abroad was reported in around 10 percent.

"This shows that travel-related cases are playing an increasing role in the current infection rate," reports the RKI.

However, in 42 percent of the corona cases, there was no information about a country of infection.

And: Germany was mentioned most frequently as a possible place of exposure.

But the trend is unmistakable.

Returners bring the coronavirus with them.

Especially currently from Spain.

The incidence in the popular holiday country is over 300 in some parts of Spain - over 532 in Barcelona. The situation on Mallorca is also critical.
