The operator of the Berglern food market has been determined: Rewe.
This was confirmed by the investor and a company spokeswoman.
Berglern - The ink under the contract is dry: Rewe will move into the planned grocery store on Wartenberger Strasse in Berglern.
That's what investor Adrian Scharl and Rewe spokeswoman Rosmarie Anthofer told our newspaper.
The start of construction for the three-storey building with a roof structure should take place in the summer of next year.
According to Anthofer, the food market will be 1,200 square meters.
In addition to an assortment of between 15,000 and 20,000 items, a butcher's and a bakery are also planned.
"1200 square meters are the standard for a full-range supplier," said the Rewe spokeswoman.
There will be a large fresh department with many organic products and goods from the region, including cucumbers from the Zollner factory in Eittingen.
Anthofer also speaks of short delivery routes: it is only a few kilometers to the large Rewe warehouse in Eitting.
How much staff Rewe will employ in Berglern is still open.
The market should open at the end of 2023.
In addition, a service point of the Raiffeisenbank and a pharmacy will be available to the mountain learners.
There is space for offices and practices on the upper floors.
Scharl Adrian Haus- und Grundbesitzverwaltung GmbH, which belongs to the Erdinger und Dorfener Scharl Group, will build around 100 above-ground parking spaces and 30 in an underground car park.
The complex is being planned by Biersack & Brunner engineers from Erding.
The municipal council is clearly committed to the project, Mayor Anton Scherer speaks of an enrichment for the place, which now finally has a complete local supply again.
Many trips to Wartenberg and Erding could then be omitted.
