They were charged with conspiracy to publish seditious publications. , The case will appear in West Kowloon Magistracy this afternoon (23rd).
The prosecution requested that the case be adjourned to August 30 so that the police could conduct a more in-depth investigation and oppose the two persons’ bail.
Two defendants: Li Wenling (25 years old, speech therapist), chairman of the labor union, and Yang Yiyi (27 years old, speech therapist), vice chairman.
The two were charged with conspiracy to print, publish, distribute, display or copy seditious publications between June 4, 2020 and July 22, 2021, including 3 books titled "Guardians of the Yangcun Village" and "Guardian of the Yangcun Village".
