In the Peronism of San Martín there are two simultaneous missions that, with the countdown to the closing of electoral lists and to the Legislative 2021, moved from the corridors of municipal offices and basic units to the street.
One is to agree on the assembly of the
list of candidates for councilors
for the PASO, a task that is not an easy task but without great obstacles for the
mayor Fernando Moreira
, who was the one who in 2019 achieved the unity of dissident sectors of the PJ to "lower" the idea of In front of Everyone to the district.
The other, more futuristic and ambitious: to show more and more the face of Gabriel Katopodis's replacement in the neighborhoods of San Martín to
measure him as a candidate for communal chief in 2023
.
In recent weeks, Moreira, elected first councilor in the last Executive and who took over in place of his political leader when Katopodis was appointed Minister of Works of the Nation by President Alberto Fernández, multiplied his activity through the streets and institutions of San Martín .
Fernando Moreira went to the Aniceto Gómez factory, in Villa Lynch, a leader in the production of suspension springs.
On Saturday, Moreira joined (as he had been doing) the
house-to-house
tours
to enroll neighbors in
the coronavirus
vaccination
plan
.
After that, he also highlighted on his social media profiles that the ruling party exceeded
250,000 doses applied
.
After that, he visited the Institute for the Development of Habitat and Housing and said that it was created to build housing with the support of the National Institute of Associativism and Social Economy.
Moreira came from a hectic week of encounters with high school students, entrepreneurs, residents of vulnerable neighborhoods, doctors and industrialists.
In a fruit and vegetable market, Fernando Moreira met local producers.
Although he always showed on the networks his
restless and present profile in the streets
, now, so close to the Primary that the candidates for the Legislative elections will define, Moreira is taking advantage of the imminent campaign to
establish himself as a possible successor to Katopodis
and become known among those neighbors that have more present the figure of the "Greek" as intendant.
Although in the ruling party they deny it and say that there is too much missing, 2023 appears in the sights.
In
2019, Moreira was the one who calmed the beasts of the intense Peronist intern
that had bogged down San Martín for years.
Katopodis's historic right-hand man, a political shipowner, managed to align Juan Eslaiman's massismo, Hernán Letcher's hard Kirchnerism, groups and movements under the All Front seal as Alberto and Cristina had done at the national level.
Now Moreira tries to take advantage of the legislation to test
its influence and popularity in every corner of San Martín
: from middle-class commercial areas, such as Ballester or downtown, to the popular neighborhoods where political organizations have more weight, such as José León Suarez.
Meanwhile, together with their political boss they define the assembly of the list for the STEP.
Among the names that circulate as possible heads are that of Diego Perrella, a historical of the Deliberative Council and former candidate in other elections, and that of Nancy Capelloni, wife of Katopodis and local Secretary of Educational, Cultural and Sports Integration.
"
The list should reflect the unity that the Frente de Todos
maintains in the municipality, that is, it will include representatives of the Frente Renovador, La Cámpora, the Evita Movement and different arches of the PJ", says a councilor from the district near Moreira.
