In the Nandlstadt market, people want to make sustainable Internet speeds possible.
The appropriate course has now been set for this.

- The municipality of Nandlstadt would like to set up a gigabit-capable broadband network - in accordance with the requirements of the Bavarian state government and the funding guidelines.
But before the even faster Internet comes, many roads have to be dug up.
"A completely new network is being set up," said Mario Lange from the Höpfinger company to the market councils at the meeting on Thursday.
That means: In an area specified by the municipality, fiber optics are to be laid up to the property line.
The aim is to achieve a transmission rate of 1 Gbit / s for commercial connections and 200 Mbit / s for private connections.
So-called "gray spots" in the municipality, i.e. connections with a transmission rate of 30 to 100 Mbit / s to date, are to be funded with 5000 euros according to the funding guidelines, "white spots" with currently less than 30 Mbit / s, which, according to Lange, are more or less " undersupplied ”, with 14,000 euros.
A total of six million euros in funding is expected.
The expert announced that the community would have to contribute between 200,000 and 300,000 euros.
Many roads have to be dug up
In cooperation with the Committee for Environment, Energy and Digitization, Lange defined an area in advance of the meeting - with a focus on indoor areas.
Because: "The interior has been neglected in recent years," said Lange.
However, Green Market Councilor Erhard Schönegge noticed that the school had been excluded - so he asked.
“There is a special funding program for schools,” said building authority director Johann Pichlmaier.
Especially since the school says it is sufficiently supplied with the existing connection.
Franz Mayer (CSU) wanted to know what the time span for the construction work is: “Are we talking about years or months?” Lange did not really want to commit himself here, but spoke of “about a year”.
A year in which many roads have to be dug up in sections.
Before that happens, however, a market survey is carried out - to find out how great the need is for this “extremely good line”, Betz explained when asked by FT.
The market council unanimously approved the proposed development area.
