A woman swimmer is missing at Tso Kung Tam Waterfall in Tsuen Wan.
At about 6 o'clock in the evening today (24th), the police received a report from a woman saying that at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, a group of six people went to the Caogongtan Waterfall on Zhaotan Trail to have fun and swim in the water. However, five of them came ashore about 10 minutes later and found out. The 23-year-old Nepalese girlfriend she was travelling with was missing.
Due to the poor mobile phone signal at the scene, the missing girlfriend could not be contacted, and everyone searched around to no avail. They were worried about her accident, so they called the police for help.
Police and firefighters rushed to the scene in response to the report. After a round of searches, the firefighter frogman found the missing woman at the bottom of a pool about 5 meters offshore and about 2.5 meters deep.
The female victim was unconscious and needed an automatic extra-cardiac press for emergency treatment. She was then rushed to Renji Hospital by ambulance, but was confirmed dead.
The woman waiting for news at the scene was heartbroken, crying in her arms, and the police officers stepped forward to calm her emotions.
It is understood that the friends traveling with the female victim are borrowed from the Philippines. They serve as waiters in a restaurant in Central, serving as colleagues and friends.
