Avishag Samberg does not intend to walk on tiptoe.

She wants to leverage this medal and she is not ashamed to talk about it openly.

"I want a sponsor, I want to do commercials. I want my Instagram to be full of followers from now on," she says, full of energy as she was in the arena a few hours after the battle that changed her life and the medal that followed.

She is cool and at the same time also planted with her feet on the ground.

Full of confidence despite her young age and the fact that she broke into many lives this Saturday, only makes her want to be a part of his diary scene for many years to come.

It all started from the class at the school.

Avishag, how does a little girl choose taekwondo?

"I went to class at school. That's where it all started. 40 minutes after school I was already in class and fell in love with it. Later when I came across a flyer about it being possible to move on in the afternoon, I told myself I wanted to. It was already first grade. "Later I went to practice in Ramla and that's where all the doors opened."

At what age did you dare to dream of an Olympic medal?

"Already at the age of ten I remember having thoughts about wanting to be an Olympic medalist and even an Olympic champion. I actually had a lot of thoughts about it at a young age and with them came periods of thoughts about the difficulties I was experiencing."

Were there moments when you thought of retiring?

"There were full of moments when I thought about retiring. My self-confidence as a young girl was not high. I was a girl who wanted to do normal things that children do with their friends. But in recent years things have changed and I started to internalize that this is my vocation. Mine to be a European champion and now also an Olympic medalist. "

What kept you in the field?

"Mostly my character. I have the character of someone who does not give up on herself. This is also what helped me in the battle for the medal. My character did not let me raise my hands in the days of deliberation. The parents did not give up on me easily either. They are not parents who say to children: ' "If you do not want to go to practice anymore, then retire. Persistence led to results. I became the Israeli champion and it caught me. I told myself that I do the thing I love and that I am strong to go far."

Taekwondo is not an industry that gathers sponsors and you have had to deal with the costs for several years without the financial support of a sponsor.

"Recently my mom took care of me as a sponsor, but this issue is really an annoying issue that an athlete who is a European champion, has a hard time dealing with because there are no jumpers who really want to help."

So it's time.

"I really hope I have sponsors and a lot from now on. There are factors that are already working on that, I know.I hope it happens soon. "

There is a lot of talk about your appearance.

You're a pretty girl, that's obvious.

Do you expect inquiries to publish all sorts of things?

"Sure. Wow I'm really dying for suggestions. I'm dying to be photographed. I'm dying for Instagram and want to increase the amount of followers. The most talking to me is doing commercials and it sucks me that I have not yet gotten out."

What is the second thing you love about life after taekwondo?

"You're my friend. That's clear."

And what else do you want to do now?

"I'm just a normative girl who wants to do what girls my age do. To be a successful Olympic athlete and also to have fun and have fun."
