Italy has been severely affected by the corona virus several times.

In recent months, however, the situation has calmed down, in June the incidence was below a value of 10 for some time. But here too the corona incidence is rising again, as in many other countries in Europe *.

It is now back

at just under 40

- still comparatively low, but the trend is unmistakably increasing.

In addition to the delta variant, the European championship and the celebrations that go with it are suspected of having caused the sudden increase in the incidence.

In Rome alone, the incidence has increased fivefold since the final.

The government has now announced tightening of the measures.

"Green Pass" as an admission ticket: Italy tightened corona measures

Anyone who

wants to enter the interiors of restaurants, bars or sports facilities in Italy

from August 6th

must have the

"Green Pass"

submit.

According to the Italian Health Minister Roberto Speranza, around 40 million people in the country have already downloaded it.

It can be used to detect a negative corona test that is no more than 48 hours old, a vaccination or a past infection.

A first dose of vaccination is enough to get the “Green Passport”.

However, there are exceptions for outside areas or a quick espresso at the bar. The “Green Pass” should also be a prerequisite for admission to museums, cinemas, theaters, fitness studios or concerts.

Public transport is not affected by the new rule for the time being - but readjustment is possible.

German vacationers also need the “Green Pass” in Italy

Since the “Green Pass” is proof of a negative test, vaccination or recovery, German travelers can also

bring

their

vaccination certificate on paper or digitally

with them.

The German certificate is recognized in Italy.

Then the “Green Pass” is not necessary either.

According to the Italian Ministry of Health, the certificate is already valid 14 days after the first vaccination dose.
