Taekwondo fighter Avishag Samberg, the only Israeli representative in the industry in Tokyo 2020, provides today (Saturday) a historic performance that may yet end with a particularly surprising bronze medal.
The battle for the bronze against Turkey's Rocky Yilders, ranked third in the tournament, Samberg opened with a storm with a great attack and kicks that earned her a quick score.
She finished the first round with a convincing 2:13 advantage.
The second round was more solid, but towards the end the Turkey shrank to 16: 9.

Samberg, who won her first fight in the competition with a 2:22 over 28-year-old Victoria Stambo from Puerto Rico, became the first Israeli to win a taekwondo at the Olympics.
Then she lost 29: 5 finishing eighth and Ongfatnakit Fnifak Thai world champion and ranked weighing up to 49 kg, but this loss paved the way for further.
