Iranian President-elect Ebrahim Raisi stressed that the priority of diplomacy for the next government in the country is dialogue with neighboring countries in the region.
The Iranian news agency, IRNA, quoted Raisi as saying during a phone call with Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq today that engagement, dialogue, consultation and exchange of ideas with neighbors on important issues and topics in the region is a priority for diplomacy for the next government, pointing out that developing relations with the Sultanate of Oman in various fields. It constitutes a "goal within reach" in light of their mutual political trust.
In turn, the Sultan of Oman stressed during the call the importance of consolidating relations between the two countries in the context of providing the interests of the entire region, noting key positions on constructive engagement with neighbors as a priority for the next government's foreign policy.
