Terrorist attack on a market in Baghdad - perpetrators arrested

At least 30 people were killed in an attack in Baghdad on Monday.

Now the Iraqi Prime Minister has identified the terrorist cell responsible.

Baghdad - After the suicide attack in the Iraqi capital Baghdad with at least 30 dead, the responsible terrorist cell was arrested, according to Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kasimi.

The attack was therefore planned and carried out by a "cowardly" terrorist network, he announced on Twitter.

At least 50 people were injured in the terrorist attack on Monday.

The suicide bomber had blown himself up in a busy market in the Shiite neighborhood of Sadr City.

Islamic State (IS) extremists confessed to the crime.
