Doctors from the Public Health Agency in Britain announced the discovery of a new strain of Corona virus in the country.
Specialists said, according to the British newspaper, the Mirror, that 16 cases of the new “B1 621” mutation had been identified across the country, most of them linked to travel abroad.
The newspaper indicated that doctors at the Public Health Agency are now conducting tests on the new mutated from the Corona virus to better understand the impact of the mutation on the behavior of the virus, without yet determining whether this strain reduces the effectiveness of anti-vaccines.
The mutated strain of the Corona virus "Delta", which was first discovered in India, is the most prevalent strain in the world, while specialists fear the emergence of new, more dangerous strains.
Yesterday, Britain recorded 36,389 new infections with the Corona virus, and 64 deaths.
