The Israeli occupation, with the support of the US administration, continues to implement its settlement plans in the occupied Palestinian territories in light of the failure of the international community to obligate it to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy, foremost of which is Security Council Resolution No. 2334 of 2016, which affirms the illegality of settlements and calls for its cessation.

Maan News Agency quoted the National Office for Defending Land and Resisting Settlements of the Palestine Liberation Organization as saying in its weekly report issued today that the US administration has not yet announced a clear position on Israeli settlements in the West Bank and has not asked the occupation authorities to stop settlement operations, pointing out that the Deputy Assistant Minister The US State Department, Hadi Amr, did not mention the settlements during his visit to Palestine last week, and that the occupation officials confirmed that there is no American pressure and that the establishment of settlements will continue without restrictions.

The report indicated that the occupation continues to implement its Judaization plans, as more than 1,500 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the occupation forces razed areas of the Yusufiya cemetery lands in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, pointing out that the occupation had demolished the wall of the cemetery and the entrance stairs leading to it in early December 2020 to expand operations Settling adjacent to it and along the eastern wall of Jerusalem, in order to hide the landmarks of the corridors and historical sites surrounding the cemetery.

The report pointed out that the settlers continue their attacks on Palestinian cities and towns under the protection of the occupation forces, as they stormed the archaeological site in the Bab al-Zawiya area in the center of Hebron, burned hundreds of olive trees, and bulldozed areas of Palestinian agricultural lands in Jabal Al-Alam in the town of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah, to build a settlement road.
