The planned new day care center on the communal property at the intersection of Augsburgerstrasse and Zweigstrasse has been finally canceled.
The cheapest offer in the second tender was 471,000 euros (almost 25 percent above the planned costs).
Gröbenzell - For two and a half years, the daycare center has been planned with four groups.
How it goes now is open.
Thereby daycare places in Gröbenzell are urgently needed.
The day-care center was planned for only five years on the Augsburgerstrasse / Zweigstrasse site.
The container construction would have cost a total of almost 2.4 million euros.
Actually, another company had submitted a much cheaper offer, after which the construction would have cost almost 1.7 million euros.
But then it turned out that, according to the company, a typo had crept in and the construction would cost around two million euros.
Research by the administration on the legal consequences has now shown that the offer must be excluded.
The tender was unanimously canceled by the local council.
No childcare place
The result is that some children will not get a childcare place in September.
Peter Falk (SPD) therefore called in the meeting to go looking for a location for a new facility.
"We need a new location and a new facility soon."
The municipal council has already decided that a new day-care center should be built in the Züblingelände on the outskirts.
When this will be implemented is still open.
However, it is not only the lack of rooms that is to blame for the fact that, according to the current status, 76 crèche and kindergarten children are not given a childcare place.
As a result of the lack of educators, numerous childcare places cannot be filled.
There are 22 places in the crèche area and three in the kindergarten area.
